Kelly Loomis, OTR/L

Upon graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from Chapman University, Kelly went on study occupational therapy at the University of Southern California (go Trojans!). She graduated with her Master’s Degree in 2006. While studying at USC, Kelly was a selected participant in a federally-funded grant which focused on school-based OT practice. Kelly started her career working in Northern California as a licensed school-based occupational therapist alongside kids with autism, sensory processing dysfunction, cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome, and other neuro-developmental disabilities that impact curriculum accessibility and performance in schools. She is trained in the Alert Program, Handwriting Without Tears, and Pivotal Response Training. Kelly also has experience as part of a rehabilitation team at a skilled nursing facility, treating the elderly on their skills in activities of daily living. She most recently began working with children who are qualified for early intervention services, and is excited to expand her repertoire of skills within this setting. Kelly is an active member of both the Occupational Therapy Association of California and the American Occupational Therapy Association.
