Rachel Lucas, PT, DPT
Rachel’s love of working with children started as a 12-year old when she volunteered at a camp for kids with hearing and speech disabilities for 6 summers. She graduated from University of California at Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts in Italian Studies and a minor in Education and Applied Psychology. Rachel shadowed pediatric physical therapists during her undergraduate experience and was taken by the impact this profession can have on the life of a child. She went on to earn a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. During her graduate studies, Rachel served as a research assistant, concentrating on foot and ankle biomechanics and has given several professional presentations on the results. She has clinical experience in a variety of settings. Rachel has worked with children with many different diagnoses, including but not limited to developmental delay, cerebral palsy, torticollis, spina bifida, and Rett syndrome. Rachel is committed to creating a fun learning environment in which children and families can set and achieve their goals.
